Celebrate the harvest season with a unique fall experience in Lane County, Oregon. Fun for the entire family at Northern Lights Christmas Tree Farm. Colonial Harvest Days begins October 1st and continues through the month. We are open 10:00 - 5:00 Monday - Saturdays and 12:00 - 5:00 on Sunday. Each weekend there will be live music, face painting, pony rides, and a food venue. The pie eating contest begins at 2:00. Join us for our first ever Chili Cookoff, Saturday October 18. Catagories are: Hottest, Vegetarian and Meatiest. There will be a Children's Division for the best Chili Dog for ages 14 and under. Great prizes for the winners and runners-up! Entry fee is $5 in advance and $7 the day of the event. Call Dawn or Lynn at 746-5161 for more details.

  • Learn about sailing on the Mayflower on our life-size "Hayflower" and come back for hay bale recycling.
  • Watch as we launch pumpkins with our Trebuchet!
  • See if you can count all of our cows! Look for the goats Bilbo and Frodo, and a trio of turkeys. This year we've added 3 little pigs to the mix.
  • Shop our farm store for gifts and seasonal books, espresso, snacks and unique decorating items while visiting with the resident chicken.
  • Savor a delicious bar-b-que tri-tip sandwich brought to you by Bates Restaurant the weekend of October 24 - 25. Other vendors will be selling food throughout the month.
  • Ride to the pumpkin patch with Pilgrim Bob on a fun and informative hayride.
  • Visit three important members of the farm's ecosystem - the Spider's Web, Owl's Nest and Bat's Roost.
  • Pick your own gorgeous fall flower bouquet from our dahlia patch.
  • Select your pumpkin from many different pumpkin and gourd varieties. Ornamental and popping corn, and fall decorating items are also available.
  • Take home a small complimentary pumpkin.
  • Located 15 minutes from Eugene, 10 minutes from Springfield.
  • All this for an admission fee of $5 / person, or $20 per family. Children 5 and under are free.
